Sales Development Rep – Cold Calling US Ecommerce SaaS businesses

Sell a real SaaS product to serious US ecommerce brands, with proper tools, direct founder access, strong USD compensation, and no corporate nonsense.

About MobiLoud

MobiLoud turns an ecommerce brand’s existing website into iOS and Android apps. No rebuild, no second system to manage.

Our customers are real ecommerce businesses with real traffic and real customers. They use MobiLoud to keep more of their customers coming back, get more repeat orders, and rely less on paid ads and other platforms.

We started in 2013. We’re profitable, we’ve been profitable for 13 years, and we’ve never raised money. We’ve worked with over 2,000 brands and have hundreds of active customers today, including Estée Lauder, John Varvatos, Jack & Jones, and Tadashi Shoji. The team is 16 people, all remote, all trusted to work on their own.

The role

This is a high-volume cold calling role. Your job is to call ecommerce brands that fit our ICP and book qualified meetings with the right people.

The phone is the main thing. Email and LinkedIn are there to help you get the call or follow up after. We have prospect lists, contact data, scripts, and the calling tools you’ll need. You start from those, do your own research on top, and bring your own ideas. We expect you to test new openers and angles and keep what works.

Once you book a meeting, someone else takes it from there for the demo and the contract. You report to the founder. You’re measured on how many qualified meetings actually happen.

You’ll be calling US ecommerce brands, so you need to be available during US business hours. In South African time that runs from mid-afternoon into the evening.

What you’ll do

  • Make a high volume of cold calls (100-150 calls a day) to ecommerce brands that fit our ICP, with email and LinkedIn to back it up
  • Work from our prospect lists, improve them with your own research, and suggest new places to find prospects
  • Use our scripts as a starting point, then test and improve openers, objection handling, and voicemails
  • Learn about each brand before you call so you can talk about their business and where an app fits, instead of reading a script
  • Book qualified meetings and write clear handoff notes
  • Keep the CRM up to date. Activity, contacts, and pipeline should match reality
  • Share what’s working, drop what isn’t

Tools you’ll use

  • Apollo for prospect data and sequencing
  • A parallel dialer (Orum or Nooks) for high-volume calling
  • Our CRM for tracking activity and pipeline

What counts as a qualified meeting

A meeting counts as qualified when all of these are true:

  • The brand fits our ICP: an ecommerce business doing real volume (roughly $5M to $100M a year), on Shopify, BigCommerce, or WooCommerce
  • The person is a decision maker or a real influencer on the decision (founder, CEO, or head of ecommerce, marketing, or retention)
  • They have a genuine reason to look, not just being polite
  • They agree to a discovery call at a set time

Call volume

We’re looking for someone comfortable with high daily call volume on a parallel dialer. (Target dials and connects per day to be confirmed.)

Must-have experience

  • 1 to 3 years as an SDR or BDR at a B2B SaaS company, with numbers you can show (meetings booked per month, connect rate, dials, talk time)
  • Native or near-native English. You can hold a real conversation on a cold call, think on your feet, and sound like a person
  • Smart and curious. You can learn a new business quickly and talk about it intelligently, and explain what we do
  • Fine with rejection and high call volume. Picking up the phone is the easy part for you
  • You research accounts before you call
  • Comfortable with normal outbound tools and CRMs, and you keep them current on your own
  • Available during US business hours

Nice to have

  • Ecommerce or DTC sales experience
  • Experience with a parallel dialer (Orum, Nooks, or similar)
  • A track record of testing and improving your own scripts and openers

Compensation

  • $1,800 per month (R29,000)
  • $100 for each qualified meeting (R1,620)
  • Example total earnings: if 8 meetings booked = $2,600/month, 12 meetings = $3,000/month total, 15 meetings = $3,300/month
  • Independent contractor basis. You invoice monthly and handle your own tax

Not a fit if

  • You want to read a fixed script and never change it. We give you scripts and lists to start from, but we want your ideas and your testing on top
  • You need daily hand-holding. You get weekly check-ins and feedback, and we trust you to run with it in between
  • You don’t want to be on the phone. This is a calling role first. Email and LinkedIn support the call, they don’t replace it
