Role Summary:

They are urgently looking for a CRO / Web Designer & Developer who is deeply experienced in conversion rate optimisation (CRO) specifically for e-commerce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead CRO initiatives for e-commerce websites (especially Shopify), identifying conversion bottlenecks and opportunities for optimisation.
• Design and develop high-converting landing pages and product pages, implementing CRO best practices (UI/UX, A/B testing, behavioural triggers, etc.).
• Build and manage test frameworks: A/B / multivariate tests, heatmaps, analytics tracking, session recordings, etc.
• Collaborate closely with strategists, analysts, and PPC/marketing teams to align CRO experiments with broader campaign goals.
• Implement iterative design/dev changes based on test results and data.
• Maintain and optimise Shopify themes with custom code/front-end work.
• Ensure website performance (speed, responsiveness), accessibility, and mobile optimisation.
• Provide input and recommendations for conversion-focused site architecture, user flows, and UX.
• Generate reports on test performance, learnings, and next-step recommendations.
• Keep up to date with e-commerce CRO trends, tools, and best practices, and proactively suggest improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience working in a CRO / optimisation role, particularly for e-commerce sites (preferably Shopify).
• Strong web design skills (UX/UI) — a portfolio of CRO-focused designs & test variants.
• Solid front-end web development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Experience in Shopify theming / Liquid is highly preferred.
• Experience with A/B testing tools (e.g. Google Optimise, Optimizely, VWO) and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Hotjar, FullStory).
• Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable design/development changes.
• Excellent communication: able to explain test logic, results, and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong project management: be self-driven, highly organised, and able to manage multiple experiments concurrently.
• Experience with CRO methodologies: hypothesis creation, test design, test execution, learning cycle.
• A growth mindset: comfortable with iterative testing and learning from failures.
• Attention to detail, especially in building pages that both look and perform beautifully.
• (Optional but desirable) Experience with Shopify Plus, advanced JavaScript frameworks, or headless e-commerce.
