Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Website Team Leader, the Website Editor role ensures that all websites are edited using best practices for design, user experience, SEO and conversion.

Duties and responsibilities include, but is not limited to:

  1. Manage a queue of website cases such as editing and publishing of website pages/posts using best practices for user experience, SEO, conversion and according to Vortala guidelines/processes; client requested editing of newsletter and office hours; application of client provided script codes; and facilitating design requests with Internal Support and/or the Design Team.
  2. Independent management of a case queue ensuring timely updates and completion of requests.
  3. Proactively communicating and collaborating with internal teammates across all business units as needed to ensure seamless, timely work is complete for clients and internal projects.
  4. Occasional vacation coverage for Website Team members.
  5. Assist with executing special projects as needed.

Desired Experience & Qualification

The following skills are not required, but are a big plus:

  1. Experience with and/or a strong understanding of HTML code
  2. Experience with and/or a strong understanding of CSS code
  3. Experience using a Content Management System (CMS), such as WordPress
  4. A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of good design principles

 

Success in the role is dependent on:

  1. Enthusiasm to learn website design/conversion best practices and the ability to edit websites in accordance with those practices.
  2. Being a team player who effectively communicates and collaborates in order to complete tasks and meet project deadlines.
  3. Excellent personal organizational and time management skills to effectively complete assigned tasks.
  4. Willingness and ability to balance workload without sacrificing quality of work.
  5. Receptiveness to feedback from clients and internal colleagues along with the desire for continuous learning and improvement.
