Introduction

FRONT-END DEVELOPER (REACT.JS) – REMOTE POSITION (USA)

AVAILABLE FOR SOUTH AFRICAN CANDIDATES

The client, based in the USA, is looking for an experienced Front-End Developer to join their team. The primary responsibility will be converting high-fidelity Figma designs into interactive, user-friendly interfaces. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects, such as migrating their application from Create React App (CRA) to Next.js and integrating TypeScript to enhance scalability and maintainability. Expertise in React.js is essential.

This is a full-time remote position.

 

Working remote international hours for USA

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in front-end development, with significant expertise in React.js (ESSENTIAL)
  • Next.js Proficiency: Solid understanding of server-side rendering, static generation, and API integration
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain TypeScript in large-scale projects
  • Strong skills in converting Figma designs into pixel-perfect, user-friendly interfaces
  • Experience working with APIs built on ASP.NET Core
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving performance and usability challenges
  • Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand) (ADVANTAGEOUS)
  • Experience with CSS-in-JS frameworks like Tailwind CSS or Styled Components (ADVANTAGEOUS)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes (ADVANTAGEOUS)
  • Opportunity to lead key upgrades (e.g., migration to Next.js)
  • Outstanding communication skills in Business English (ESSENTIAL)
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Own laptop / WIFI and internet connectivity including assigned home office space

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Figma Implementation: Develop and maintain front-end components and pages based on Figma designs with high fidelity
  • Responsive & Accessible Design: Ensure all implementations are responsive, accessible, and compatible across browsers
  • API Integration: Collaborate with the back-end team to seamlessly integrate and optimize APIs for front-end performance
  • Next.js Migration: Lead or contribute to migrating the app from CRA to Next.js, incorporating best practices for server-side rendering and static generation
  • TypeScript Application: Implement and maintain TypeScript across the codebase for improved scalability and code quality
  • Code Quality & Reviews: Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and maintain front-end development best practices
